Bottineau Boulevard (C.R. 81) is an important corridor supporting local and regional economic development and servicing Hennepin county commuters. Increasing traffic volumes, growth and development, and congestion along the corridor threaten the ability of Bottineau Boulevard to deliver safe and efficient transportation service to its users.
Reconstruction of Bottineau Boulevard will occur in segments. The Robbinsdale segment was completed in 2008. In summer 2008, MnDOT began reconstruction of the Bottineau Boulevard/85th Ave Interchange with US 169, and in July of 2010, Hennepin County will begin reconstruction of the roadway between T.H. 100 and C.R. 10 (Bass Lake Road) in Crystal.
